therapeutic approach

Surf Your Mind provides online psychology services through videoconference for the treatment of depression and anxiety disorders in older teenagers and adults. Clinical and Forensic Psychologist, Michelle Wharton is a registered Medicare Provider and registered with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).

Please note; During current COVID-19 conditions, all Medicare-eligible Australians can now receive a Telehealth service (have therapy via videoconference) and still claim a Medicare rebate under your mental health treatment plan. Please NOTE that online therapy isn’t for everyone and referrals are assessed on a case-by-case basis for suitability. A service will only be provided where it is considered safe and clinically appropriate to do so. The assessment process can take some time so you should allow at least 10 days between sending through your referral information and booking your first appointment.

Michelle is a Level 2 Certified TEAM CBT clinician, and is currently the only Level 2 certified clinician in Australia. Head over to our TEAM-CBT page for more information. Or, for a wealth of free resources, including podcasts, books, and training webinars visit the Feeling Good website or the Feeing Good Institute. Contact Surf Your Mind for therapy enquiries and suggestions for the best self-help resources for you.

Therapy sessions are 50-minutes in duration and you can book in by calling us on 0430 952 472 or send us a message using the enquiries box below. Longer sessions are available. See the FAQs for why you might want to consider this and contact us to book in.
